  • Closing Dates
    Sessions 1 to 12: April 5th 2003
    Sessions 13 to 24: May 16th 2003
  • It would be appreciated if Clubs could send one cheque to cover all entries per closing date.
  • Note: The first closing date covers all youth events, all teams and 400 F/s and 400 I.M. for 10/11 year olds.
  • There will be a limit of two heats per sex on these 400 I.M.s
  • Entries for Individual and Team events must be made on the official entry forms and returned by the official closing date. Please photocopy as necessary.
  • Clubs sending entries on a computer disk must also fill in the signed entry forms.
  • Entry consideration times shown are short course times. They must have been achieved at a designated meet in the 12 months prior to the closing date.
  • 10 & 11 year old Boys and 11 year old girls have no qualifying time for 100m events. Entry for these events can only be accepted with the appropriate 200m time. Please enter the 200 time in the 100 box if you wish to enter the 100m event and the same time in the 200m box for that event.
  • The Swimming Events Manager shall have the power to limit the entries in any event when it is considered this would be beneficial to the Championships as a whole.

Coaches' Passes

  • Applications to Ms Chris Matthews on the blue form enclosed in the information pack. Cost £25.00 for the year. The pass will entitle the holder to admission to the pool, a programme and a copy of the results on disk. Please provide an S.A.E.
    Please note that only those with a valid pass will be permitted in the areas designated for swimmers and on the poolside during warm up.

Session Times

  • Doors will open daily at 7:45am. Warm up from 8:00am to 8:50am each day. Start at 9:00am. Additional warm up will be permitted between sessions each day subject to availability.
  • The starting times of subsequent sessions will be notified to all clubs with the return of the competitiors cards
  • Competitors are reminded that they must produce their registration card or pay the appropriate entry fee to gain admission to the pool.
  • The secondary card entry system will be in operation. Swimmers must post all cards for each session in the box at least 45 minutes before the advertised starting time of each session.

Events

  • Details of the events can be found in the full championship conditions.
  • The Youth championships are for Girls 14/15, 16/17 and 18&over, and for Boys 15/16, 17/18 and 19& over.
  • The Age Group or BAGCAT Championships are for Girls and Boys aged 10, 11, 12, 13 and for 14 year old boys.
  • Age Qualifying date will be 22nd June 2003 for all individual events

Relay Events

    • National Age Group Qualifiers
      Girls 11-13 4x100 Freestyle and Medley: Age as at 30th July 2003
      Boys 11-14 4x100 Freestyle and Medley: Age as at 30th July 2003
    • National Youth Qualifiers
      Girls 14-17 4x100 Freestyle and Medley; 4x200 Freestyle: Age as at 3rd August 2003
      Boys 15-18 4x100 Freestlye and Medley; 4x200 Freestyle: Age as at 3rd August 2003
  • Qualification for the National relay events will be achieved by performances in District qualifying rounds. The teams placed first in each District plus the next fastest thirteen teams will be selected.
  • Note: Swimmers will only be allowed to compete in one National Championship. Those swimmers who were born on 31st July, 1st, 2nd, 3rd August 1989 must decide in which Championship they will compete.
  • District Relays
    Girls and Boys 4x50 Freestlye and Medley: Age at 22nd June 2003
    Open Ladies and Mens 4x100 Freestyle and Medley

Awards

  • Relays: 1st 3 in each event
    BAGCATS: 1st 3 in each event plus top 8 in British Age Group Category points for each age group.
    Youth: 1st 8 in each double year age group
  • All awards will be based on Finals placings unless it is an HDW event.
