Qualifying TImes

Provisional Base and Automatic Qualifying Times are now available.

  • All swimmers who achieve the automatic QTs will be accepted
  • We expect to accept about 90% of entries that achieve the base QT

The number of swimmers accepted for each event will as last year be based on a target number depending on age and distance of swim.

We publish automatic QTs so that better swimmers have a guarantee of acceptance and can make travel and accomodation arrangements. Approx 55% of all entries achieve the automatic time.

We publish base times to allow us to manage the timing of the competition and handle the natural variation in standard from year to year.

The target number of accepted swimmers will be:

Event Age 10/11 Age 12, 13, 14 Age 15, 16 Age 17/Over

Please note: If a club submits a file of entries, any individual entries for the club submitted before that submission will be lost.

Club Entries

For this competition we will accept entries in the form of files created by club statistics systems, such as HyTek Team Manager and Team Unify. We will accept the following file formats: .SD3, .CL2, .HY3

Before the competition we will publish "Meet Files" in the following formats: .EV3, .HYV

This is integrated into the online entry system. Clubs may continue to submit entries directly online.

Some Considerations:

  • Submission of a file of entries replaces all individual entries submitted previously by you or anyone else for your club.
  • You may submit updated files. In this case, the new entries replace all previous entries.
  • Once you have submitted a file of entries, those entries will be shown in all summaries of entries received. If you want to amend entries, you may either submit a replacement file or amend entries online.
  • You may submit separate files of LC and SC times, in which case, we will take the time that is most advantageous to the swimmer. If you do this, both files must be submitted together. (The entry system includes provision for submission of two files. We will publish separate meet files containing LC and SC times).
  • Limited technical support will be available close to the closing date. Clubs are strongly recommended to attempt to submit an entry file as early as possible to ensure there is sufficient time to investigate any problems. Entries submitted early can be replaced (by submitting a new file) or modified (by changing individual entries online) up to the closing date.

Note: It is not possible to import para-swimming entries. Para-swimming entries must be submitted using the individual Entry Form. These entries will not be replaced by importing club entries.

Mountbatten Centre

Currently, the pool at the Mountbatten cannpt be configured for a long course competition. The boom is broken.

We cannot guarantee that it will be repaired in time for the County Championships. If it is not, then the sessions at Mountbatten will proceed as short course competitions. Short course times can be used to qualify for the region championships.

Swimmers looking for long course times for the British Championships may wish to enter other competitions.
